1.   The usage of mixed gas compressors

The M-series mixed gas compressor unit is a specialized equipment designed to compress gases for users; The main equipment included in the mixed gas compressor unit includes: mixed gas compressor host, explosion-proof motor, cooling system, lubrication system, outlet and inlet valves and filters, nitrogen sealing system, instrument display system, safety release system, PLC execution control system, etc. This compressor is mainly used for mixed gas pressurization and transportation processes. The cylinder is lubricated without oil, and the sealing element is filled with high-strength self-lubricating carbon fiber polytetrafluoroethylene. The outlet is equipped with a precision filter, providing users with a high-quality mixed gas source with a pressure of 5.5MPa to meet their usage requirements

3.   Technical requirements for mixed gas compressors

3.1  Basic process requirements

Compressed medium: mixed gas(65% hydrogen) Gas supply capacity of a single compressor:

Compressor suction pressure: 0.5MPa Discharge pressure of compressor: 5.5MPa Cooling method: open type water cooling Compressor suction temperature: ≤ 40

4          The main structure of the compressor

4.1        Overall layout of mixed gas compressor

In the overall design of the unit, integrated design is adopted, and all equipment is installed on pry blocks, fully considering the convenience of operation and maintenance,


with a reasonable overall layout. The main equipment included in the hydrogen compressor unit includes: hydrogen compressor, explosion-proof motor, cooling system, lubrication system, outlet and inlet valves and filters, nitrogen sealing system, instrument display system, safety release system, and primary control detection components. The PLC control cabinet of the compressor unit is non explosion-proof and installed by users in non explosion-proof areas.

4.2 Introduction to mixed gas compressor performance

The M series pry mounted hydrogen compressor unit is driven by an explosion-proof electric motor through a coupling, and then connected to each stage of the compressor through a pipeline system, forming a potential energy conversion of electrical energy kinetic energy gas; The cooling system ensures that the exhaust of each stage of the compressor can be well cooled in the cooler, and the cylinder block can also take away some heat due to the flow of cooling water, thereby ensuring that the working temperature of each working component is not too high and premature damage is not caused; The lubrication system is an important component that ensures the long-term, efficient, and reliable operation of the compressor, and plays a decisive role in the operation of the compressor; Each level and independent pressure unit of the compressor are equipped with safety valves, which are important components of the compressor and can effectively prevent accidents in the compressed gas system during operation; The PLC control system can ensure that the compressor automatically starts (the first start should be manual), automatically stops, and manually discharges pollutants, making the operation of the compressor convenient; All equipment is integrated on a sled mounted base to form a complete sled mounted compressor station.

4.3   Introduction to the characteristics of mixed gas compressors

  1. 4.3.1    The M series compressor is a product independently developed and designed by our company. The hydrogen compressor in this series adopts the M type and adopts double chamber nitrogen filling. It has a compact structure, small starting torque, good inertia force balance, small mechanical vibration, high reliability, high degree of automation, few vulnerable parts, low noise, and easy operation and maintenance. The compressor has a


service life of more than 25 years

4.3.2 The compressor's various cylinders and coolers adopt open water cooling design technology.

4.3.3     All valves, piston rings, and packing of the compressor are products of well-known domestic brands, and the service life of vulnerable parts can reach over 6000 hours.

4.3.4 The coolers at all levels of the compressor are manually drained, making the operation simple and convenient.

4.3.5 The compressor adopts Siemens PLC control, which automatically controls the various performance parameters of the compressor, with a high degree of automation and advanced and reliable performance.

4.3.6     The compressor and motor are directly driven by couplings, with high transmission efficiency and stable and reliable transmission.

4.3.7       Each stage of the compressor is equipped with a safety valve, which opens for unloading when the pressure exceeds the limit, ensuring the safe operation of the system.
